Field Trip changed due to weather

Good morning! They are expecting travel delays for up to 48 hours. We are going to push our trip back 1 week.

Wednesday Jan 24 at 10 am

This is going to cause some scheduling conflicts for some of you.

IF YOU ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO GO, please contact us BY EMAIL by FRIDAY JAN 19 and we will work on getting refunds out. (It may take up to 1 week for all of them to be done.)

IF YOU WANT TO SIGN UP... I expect some openings and will extend the date to sign up to JANUARY 22 AT 12 NOON.

ALL COMMUNICATION ABOUT FIELD TRIPS SHOULD BE DONE BY EMAIL.

Sign up sheet will be outside the office. If you do not attend co-op and would like to enter, please sign up by email. 
Sign up is helpful so we have enough space for projects and judges. 

Science Fair 
Monday Feb 12
Project drop off- 9-10am
Judging- 10:30-12pm
Awards- 12:30 pm

Projects not set up before judging will not be judged.

Field Trip to Ice Skating

Point Mallard Ice Complex

This field trip is open to all homeschoolers. 

Ice skating!
Point Mallard Park Decatur
Friday February 9 at 12-2pm
$6 per skater. Includes skates. Ages 4 and under are free.
An optional lunch of hotdog, chips and drink may be added for $1.

We will meet at the main entrance at 11:45. Please check in with Jennilee Miller before entering. 

Deadline to sign up AND PAY is February 5. 

You may sign up in person or by email at newhopechristianhomeschool@gmail.com. Include number of students/grades and adults and how many lunches.

You may pay in person, by mail, or paypal. Please include a note about what and how many you are paying for.

Field Trip to Planetarium

University of North Alabama Planetarium and Observatory

This field trip is open to all homeschoolers. 

We will meet at 9:40 at the entrance to the planetarium. We will enter as a group. Anyoneentering and checking in on their own will pay full admission rates. 

UNA Planetarium at UNA Florence AL
Wednesday January 17 at 10 am.
$3 per student. One adult per family will enter free, additional adults will be $3. 

We will have a short introduction to the night skies and see the constellations in the planetarium. Afterwards, students will work in teams to make a rocket car to learn the basics of rocketry. 

Field trip will officially end at the end of the presentation, approximately 11:30.

This trip is open to all ages, however it will be geared for 3rd-6th graders.

Deadline to sign up and pay is January 10.

History Fair

History Fair is Oct 23.

This year's theme is conflict and compromise. This year's fair will be held in much the same way as last years. Co-op classes will proceed as scheduled.

Our policy is to follow Haleyville City Schools. As they have cancelled classes for tomorrow, we will too.
