Field trip- Hockey Game

Join us for a fun day watching the Point Mallard Ducks!

This trip is open to ALL homeschoolers but you MUST sign up to attend. IF YOU ARE NOT ON OUR LIST, YOU WILL NOT ENTER WITH OUR GROUP AND WILL PAY FULL ADMISSION RATES.

Friday February 5

10:30 am

Point Mallard Ice Complex, Decatur AL

Tickets are $5 each and include lunch (pizza, water, gatorade). Children 4 and under are free.

We will enter as a group at 10:30. The game starts at 11. This gives us time to get in and settled before the game begins. We will have a private room to eat lunch. As with all sporting events, an exact end time is impossible to predict. However, you should plan on the game lasting about 2-3 hours. The field trip will officially end at the end of the game.

Hockey is a fast paced action sport. There will be activities during half time as well. If you have never been to a game, this is a great way to check it out. We will be getting an incredible discount at this game.

Point Mallard Ducks will be playing a team from Dallas.

As always, all events are open to ALL HOMESCHOOLERS. You do not have to be a member of New Hope to participate.

Field Trip to Healthworks
Field trip to Healthworks Museum in Tupelo MS.
Wednesday January 27 at 9-11am.


We will meet at the museum at 8:45. We will enter and pay as a group. 

We will have a 2 hour experience including a 60 minute program "Is There a Doctor in the House", 30 minutes Brain Theater, 30 minutes on Fun-tastic Floor

Cost is $7 per child, children 2 and under and parents are free. Please have exact change as we will pay as a group.

Healthworks field trip will end at 11:00 am. 

Healthworks is located at 219 S. Industrial Road in Tupelo. Directions can be found using the "location" link on this event.

From Healthworks:
Is There a Doctor in the House?
Have you ever wanted to be a doctor? Now is your chance! Students will take their temperature, measure their heartrate, listen to their lungs, test their reflexes, check their eyes, and much more. They will also be given the chance to diagnose their own patient. Will they be successful?

Note: This class is perfect for groups of various age ranges. Older children can help younger children read and document charts.


Science Fair
Our science fair will be on Monday Feb 1 beginning at 9am.

Our art fair will be on Monday February 29 beginning at 9am.
